# PhotoPc vs vCalc

The clearest difference is rating: PhotoPc at 5.0 against vCalc's 4.5. PhotoPc also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (44% vs 29%). vCalc's advantage is ratings volume (56 vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoPc sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and vCalc sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PhotoPc holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: vCalc has 56 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 44% of PhotoPc's written reviews are positive against 29% of vCalc's.

PhotoPc ships an update every 3 weeks, vCalc every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
