# Pomocat vs Focus Monke

The clearest difference is ads: Focus Monke at none against Pomocat's shown. Focus Monke also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). Pomocat's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (535 vs 15). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pomocat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Focus Monke sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pomocat holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pomocat has 535 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of Pomocat's written reviews are positive against 100% of Focus Monke's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pomocat ships an update every 3 weeks, Focus Monke every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
