# Breakup Buddy vs Stumble App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Stumble App at free against Breakup Buddy's free with in-app purchases. Stumble App also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 76%) and update cadence (every 11 days vs monthly). Breakup Buddy's advantage is ratings volume (124 vs 8) and iOS requirement (17 vs 26.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Breakup Buddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month and Stumble App sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Breakup Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Breakup Buddy has 124 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Breakup Buddy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Stumble App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Breakup Buddy ships an update monthly, Stumble App every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
