# CandyBong vs Nintendo Today!

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nintendo Today! at every 9 days against CandyBong's every 7 months. Nintendo Today! also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1K vs 24). CandyBong's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and review sentiment (71% vs 62%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nintendo Today! holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nintendo Today! has 1K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of CandyBong's written reviews are positive against 62% of Nintendo Today!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CandyBong ships an update every 7 months, Nintendo Today! every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
