# BrainDrops vs Papertrail Auto

The clearest difference is update cadence: Papertrail Auto at every 4 days against BrainDrops's every 33 months. Papertrail Auto also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainDrops sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Papertrail Auto sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $15.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BrainDrops ships an update every 33 months, Papertrail Auto every 4 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
