# Screen Time Control vs Limit

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Limit at 63% against Screen Time Control's 0%. Limit also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Screen Time Control's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.4). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Time Control sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Limit sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Time Control holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Screen Time Control's written reviews are positive against 63% of Limit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Time Control ships an update every 2 months, Limit fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
