# TV Remote vs Stick

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TV Remote at 100% against Stick's 45%. TV Remote also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Stick's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Remote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Stick sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TV Remote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stick has 16K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of TV Remote's written reviews are positive against 45% of Stick's.

TV Remote ships an update fortnightly, Stick every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
