# D2 Now vs Safehugg

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Safehugg at 100% against D2 Now's 55%. Safehugg also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). D2 Now's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Safehugg sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per month. D2 Now asks for nothing beyond the download.

D2 Now holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: D2 Now has 301 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of D2 Now's written reviews are positive against 100% of Safehugg's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

D2 Now ships an update monthly, Safehugg every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
