# cauldy vs Faxo

The clearest difference is ads: Faxo at none against cauldy's shown. Faxo also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). cauldy's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. cauldy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Faxo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

cauldy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Faxo has 2K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of cauldy's written reviews are positive against 80% of Faxo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

cauldy ships an update every 6 weeks, Faxo every 3 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
