# ImageX vs Pixie wallpaper

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pixie wallpaper at every 8 days against ImageX's monthly. Pixie wallpaper also leads on review sentiment (69% vs 60%). ImageX's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ImageX sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Pixie wallpaper sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ImageX holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 54 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of ImageX's written reviews are positive against 69% of Pixie wallpaper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ImageX ships an update monthly, Pixie wallpaper every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
