# AI Chat Chatbot Assistant vs ChatGenius

The clearest difference is ads: AI Chat Chatbot Assistant at none against ChatGenius's shown. AI Chat Chatbot Assistant also leads on review sentiment (58% vs 28%) and device support (5 vs 3). ChatGenius's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 288). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat Chatbot Assistant sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and ChatGenius sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChatGenius holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatGenius has 4.4K ratings behind it against 288, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of AI Chat Chatbot Assistant's written reviews are positive against 28% of ChatGenius's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
