# Remote for Android TV vs Remote for Android TV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Remote for Android TV at none against Remote for Android TV's 4. Remote for Android TV also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Remote for Android TV's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 634) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote for Android TV sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 3 months. Remote for Android TV asks for nothing beyond the download.

Remote for Android TV holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remote for Android TV has 12K ratings behind it against 634, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Remote for Android TV's written reviews are positive against 63% of Remote for Android TV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
