# CKstream vs HBC+ Video

The clearest difference is rating: CKstream at 5.0 against HBC+ Video's 4.0. CKstream also leads on update cadence (every 5 months vs every 15 months). HBC+ Video's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CKstream holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HBC+ Video has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CKstream ships an update every 5 months, HBC+ Video every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
