# GymSplat vs BoulderBuilder

The clearest difference is ads: GymSplat at none against BoulderBuilder's shown. GymSplat also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 8 days) and ratings volume (130 vs 1). BoulderBuilder's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GymSplat sells 26 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and BoulderBuilder sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoulderBuilder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GymSplat has 130 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

GymSplat ships an update daily, BoulderBuilder every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
