# 映画記録 vs Plotica

The clearest difference is ads: 映画記録 at none against Plotica's shown. 映画記録 also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.5). Plotica's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 映画記録 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Plotica sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

映画記録 ships an update every 2 weeks, Plotica every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
