# Mae vs FirstMove

The clearest difference is ads: FirstMove at none against Mae's shown. FirstMove also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Mae's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mae sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and FirstMove sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mae ships an update every 3 weeks, FirstMove every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
