# Digital Counters vs Tally

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tally at every 4 days against Digital Counters's every 2 months. Digital Counters's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Counters sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tally sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digital Counters ships an update every 2 months, Tally every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
