# AWS WickrGov vs BandScan

The clearest difference is rating: BandScan at 5.0 against AWS WickrGov's 1.3. BandScan also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). AWS WickrGov's advantage is ratings volume (202 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BandScan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AWS WickrGov has 202 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
