# Next Lecture vs HEPIQ

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Next Lecture at 100% against HEPIQ's 7%. Next Lecture also leads on rating (2.5 vs 1.3) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). HEPIQ's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 23 months) and ratings volume (5.3K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
