# Idle Mechanic vs Miner!

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Idle Mechanic at 50% against Miner!'s 0%. Idle Mechanic also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Miner!'s advantage is rating (5.0 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Miner! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Idle Mechanic has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Idle Mechanic's written reviews are positive against 0% of Miner!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Idle Mechanic ships an update every 6 weeks, Miner! every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
