# Mythic Tools MTG vs TMB Reference Guide

The clearest difference is monetization model: TMB Reference Guide at free against Mythic Tools MTG's free with in-app purchases. TMB Reference Guide also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Mythic Tools MTG's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mythic Tools MTG sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and TMB Reference Guide sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TMB Reference Guide holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mythic Tools MTG has 3.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mythic Tools MTG ships an update every 6 days, TMB Reference Guide every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
