# LingoMy vs SpeakHero

The clearest difference is monetization model: SpeakHero at free with in-app purchases against LingoMy's subscription. SpeakHero also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 17.0). LingoMy's advantage is ratings volume (235 vs 3) and rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LingoMy sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and SpeakHero sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LingoMy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LingoMy has 235 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
