# Devoted vs Shia Essentials

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shia Essentials at every 3 weeks against Devoted's every 6 months. Devoted's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Devoted against 5.0 for Shia Essentials. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Devoted has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Devoted ships an update every 6 months, Shia Essentials every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
