# Vicode vs Cove

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cove at weekly against Vicode's every 3 weeks. Cove also leads on iOS requirement (18 vs 26.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vicode sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cove sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vicode ships an update every 3 weeks, Cove weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
