# ChatGenius vs Chatbot

ChatGenius and Chatbot both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 47% of Chatbot's written reviews are positive against 28% of ChatGenius's. ChatGenius's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 127) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatGenius sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and Chatbot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for ChatGenius against 4.7 for Chatbot. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatGenius has 4.4K ratings behind it against 127, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 28% of ChatGenius's written reviews are positive against 47% of Chatbot's.

ChatGenius ships an update monthly, Chatbot every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
