# Campflare vs Alertstays

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Campflare at none against Alertstays's 6. Campflare also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (3.9K vs 14). Alertstays's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alertstays sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Campflare asks for nothing beyond the download.

Campflare holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Campflare has 3.9K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Campflare's written reviews are positive against 67% of Alertstays's.

Campflare ships an update every 5 weeks, Alertstays fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
