# Spelling Bee vs WordSprout

The clearest difference is rating: WordSprout at 5.0 against Spelling Bee's 4.6. WordSprout also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). Spelling Bee's advantage is ratings volume (788 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spelling Bee sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and WordSprout sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
