# It Happened Here 1 vs Unsolved Case

The clearest difference is rating: Unsolved Case at 4.7 against It Happened Here 1's 3.8. Unsolved Case also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (100 vs 13). It Happened Here 1's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 33%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. It Happened Here 1 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Unsolved Case sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Unsolved Case holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unsolved Case has 100 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of It Happened Here 1's written reviews are positive against 33% of Unsolved Case's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

It Happened Here 1 ships an update every 26 months, Unsolved Case every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
