# Commkey vs Ask.AI

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Commkey at none against Ask.AI's 5. Ask.AI's advantage is ratings volume (77 vs 11) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ask.AI sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Commkey asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ask.AI holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ask.AI has 77 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Commkey's written reviews are positive against 99% of Ask.AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
