# Functional Groups vs Biochemistry Tutoring

The clearest difference is update cadence: Biochemistry Tutoring at fortnightly against Functional Groups's every 4 months. Functional Groups's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Functional Groups sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Biochemistry Tutoring sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Functional Groups ships an update every 4 months, Biochemistry Tutoring fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
