# Notebook vs Wren

The clearest difference is rating: Wren at 5.0 against Notebook's 4.3. Wren also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). Notebook's advantage is ratings volume (523 vs 22) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notebook sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Wren sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wren holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notebook has 523 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 71% of Notebook's written reviews are positive against 100% of Wren's.

Notebook ships an update every 3 weeks, Wren weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
