# IPTV Player Pro vs Smarter Player +

The clearest difference is monetization model: Smarter Player + at free with in-app purchases against IPTV Player Pro's subscription. Smarter Player + also leads on ratings volume (59 vs 5) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). IPTV Player Pro's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Player Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Smarter Player + sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPTV Player Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smarter Player + has 59 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
