# NYC Tartan Week vs Met Opera

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Met Opera at 4.3K against NYC Tartan Week's 2. Met Opera also leads on chart position (#166 vs unranked) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). NYC Tartan Week's advantage is iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for NYC Tartan Week against 4.9 for Met Opera. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Met Opera has 4.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NYC Tartan Week ships an update monthly, Met Opera fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
