# Nova vs Hugs911

The clearest difference is rating: Hugs911 at 5.0 against Nova's 4.6. Nova's advantage is ratings volume (277 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nova sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Hugs911 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hugs911 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nova has 277 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Nova ships an update weekly, Hugs911 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
