# Digi Notes vs Penna

The clearest difference is update cadence: Penna at every 4 days against Digi Notes's fortnightly. Digi Notes's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digi Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Penna sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digi Notes ships an update fortnightly, Penna every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
