# DSLR Camera vs Spectro

The clearest difference is rating: Spectro at 5.0 against DSLR Camera's 4.6. DSLR Camera's advantage is ratings volume (689 vs 4) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DSLR Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Spectro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spectro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DSLR Camera has 689 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DSLR Camera ships an update weekly, Spectro monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
