# Fonts Theme vs VariTheme

The clearest difference is rating: Fonts Theme at 4.6 against VariTheme's 3.8. Fonts Theme also leads on ratings volume (34 vs 6). VariTheme's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fonts Theme sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and VariTheme sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fonts Theme holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fonts Theme has 34 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fonts Theme ships an update every 2 months, VariTheme every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
