# LingoLooper vs Language Learning

LingoLooper and Language Learning both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of LingoLooper's written reviews are positive against 25% of Language Learning's. LingoLooper also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Language Learning's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 1.2K) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LingoLooper sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Language Learning sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LingoLooper holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Language Learning has 16K ratings behind it against 1.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of LingoLooper's written reviews are positive against 25% of Language Learning's.

LingoLooper ships an update fortnightly, Language Learning every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
