# SomaShare vs Settle

The clearest difference is monetization model: SomaShare at free with in-app purchases against Settle's subscription. SomaShare also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.4). Settle's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 55%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SomaShare sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $59.99 per year and Settle sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SomaShare holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 178 and 202 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of SomaShare's written reviews are positive against 80% of Settle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
