# VPN vs VPN+

The clearest difference is rating: VPN+ at 4.9 against VPN's 3.0. VPN+ also leads on ratings volume (38 vs 2). VPN's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN+ sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. VPN asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN+ holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN+ has 38 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VPN ships an update weekly, VPN+ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
