# HashTagNotes vs Simply

The clearest difference is update cadence: Simply at weekly against HashTagNotes's every 3 weeks. Simply also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). HashTagNotes's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HashTagNotes sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Simply sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for HashTagNotes against 5.0 for Simply. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
