# Duul vs 88 Films

The clearest difference is rating: Duul at 3.6 against 88 Films's 2.6. Duul also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). 88 Films's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 25%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Duul sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and 88 Films sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Duul holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Duul's written reviews are positive against 50% of 88 Films's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Duul ships an update every 2 weeks, 88 Films every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
