# Saber vs Scrivano

The clearest difference is rating: Scrivano at 5.0 against Saber's 4.0. Saber's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scrivano sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Saber asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scrivano holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Saber has 21 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Saber ships an update fortnightly, Scrivano monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
