# Parallel Camera vs Front & Back Camera Recording

The clearest difference is rating: Front & Back Camera Recording at 4.6 against Parallel Camera's 4.0. Front & Back Camera Recording also leads on ratings volume (284 vs 7) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Parallel Camera's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parallel Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Front & Back Camera Recording sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Front & Back Camera Recording holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Front & Back Camera Recording has 284 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Parallel Camera's written reviews are positive against 29% of Front & Back Camera Recording's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Parallel Camera ships an update fortnightly, Front & Back Camera Recording every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
