# Tigrinya Basics vs Fidel

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fidel at none against Tigrinya Basics's 1. Fidel also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 20 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tigrinya Basics sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Fidel asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Tigrinya Basics against 5.0 for Fidel. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fidel has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tigrinya Basics ships an update every 20 months, Fidel every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
