# OttPlayertv vs Bleety

OttPlayertv and Bleety both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Bleety's written reviews are positive against 48% of OttPlayertv's. Bleety also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.1). OttPlayertv's advantage is ratings volume (9.3K vs 22). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bleety holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OttPlayertv has 9.3K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of OttPlayertv's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bleety's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
