# Play Colors vs LegendForge

The clearest difference is ads: LegendForge at none against Play Colors's shown. LegendForge also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Play Colors's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (7.7K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Play Colors sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and LegendForge sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LegendForge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Play Colors has 7.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Play Colors ships an update every 2 weeks, LegendForge every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
