# Fluent vs Speak Languages

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Speak Languages at 100% against Fluent's 0%. Speak Languages also leads on ratings volume (44 vs 1). Fluent's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fluent sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Speak Languages sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fluent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speak Languages has 44 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Fluent's written reviews are positive against 100% of Speak Languages's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fluent ships an update every 3 weeks, Speak Languages fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
