# Fluent vs Recap

The clearest difference is monetization model: Recap at free against Fluent's freemium. Recap also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Fluent's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fluent sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Recap sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fluent ships an update every 3 weeks, Recap weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
