# Spill vs Scholars Equity Network

The clearest difference is rating: Scholars Equity Network at 5.0 against Spill's 4.6. Scholars Equity Network also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Spill's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Scholars Equity Network holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spill has 1.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
